Lady Maria Manor
Lady Maria Manor
It was in May 2007 that the Lady Maria Manor was born following the transformation by the then owner Mr. Delano Gauthier of Honguedo Hostel, an institution in Maria since 1980, a hotel that was very appreciated in the past by business travelers and tourists. This change of vocation in residence for seniors came true with the arrival as a partner of Mr. Claude Loubert and his clientele of the Auberge de la Baie, a small residence for seniors already existing in Maria.
In April 2008, it was with the acquisition by Christine Dubé and Francis Vadnais, a young couple in their thirties who were passionate and eager to realize their dream of owning a seniors’ residence, that this beautiful company took off and became what it is today. Following a first expansion of 12 apartments in 2009, which brought the residence to 75 rooms and apartments, a second expansion of 37 other units was completed in 2015.
The Lady Maria Manor is now a retirement complex of 113 units, including a care wing of 14 rooms called Lady Maria Dignité, which over time has also become an institution for the municipality of Maria.
